Morning

It's morning in Middletown and I don't have to be at work till 9. So, I've got some downtime in the morning giving me plenty of time for coffee, bagels and background noise in the form of TV. I put on the comedy channel (you know, Fox News) and they're advertising an upcoming segment "'24'- What's Real and What's Not". I'll probably leave before it runs, but I can list off "what's real" about "24".

1) People are bipedal mammals.
2) There is a United States.
3) ...

Meanwhile, I was really disappointed by George Takei's appearance on "Heroes" last night. Oh, he was great. He's a hilarious nutbag. But his character is a walking Japanese stereotype.

Oh, and Fox News is upset because a border patrol agent that shot and injured an illegal immigrant has been charged with illegally drawing and firing his weapon. Because, amazingly, we don't like our officers to fire at fleeing vehicles. Sidearms are for self defense, not heroically shooting the tires out.
