Lucky for them I'm a Geek and grown-up Boyscout

I was prepared- mostly. One of the expectations for an onsite is that the host will provide an instructor computer (unless we're providing all the computers, which is totally different). This was not communicated clearly with the host for this week's class. Fortunately, I always bring my laptop, and extra fortunately- I also happened to bring the dongle that allows me to plug a VGA adapter into it, thus allowing me to use the projector. For the first time, I'm taking advantage of the dual display features of my computer, which was amazingly easy to set up (my previous experience was doing this on Linux, several versions of XFree ago, and it was a nightmare). It's a good thing I just so happened to have .NET 2005 set up and ready to roll on a virtual computer. AND had the external HD that I use for it.

Only thing I'm missing? A real mouse- normally, for day-to-day tasks (and only one monitor interactions) a trackpad does me just fine- but to cross two screen widths requires a little more mobility, and I'm wishin' for a mouse.
