I Hate the Government.

This year, I paid:
Over $5000 in Federal Withholding
Over $2500 in Social Security
Over $2000 in State taxes.
Over $600 in Medicare.

I took the maximum withholding out, claimed no dependents, etc. etc. My total refund?

$123

I feel oh so very robbed right now. In previous years when I've had a similar income, I got $800 back. This year, I get bupkiss. That's not even a single day's pay (when I'm teaching). I paid $7000 in pure tax, over $10000 in overall governmental rapings. And I get an insult back.

Fuck, it's at least $100 that I can take back from the government's smelly little hands. But I'd like to point out that I gave the government a new fucking car this year and that's about a quarter of my yearly salary.
