How Random Babbling Becomes Corporate Policy

I'm getting dicked at work again, though at least this time, they lubed it up real nice. My evals from last month were kinda shit (this might be related to having a week and a half of double shifts). And they didn't have enough classes running, so my utilization was going to be at 63%- also kinda shit. Seeing as I get a bonus for good evals and a bonus for teaching, this would have meant July would have been really tight money wise.

So, they cut me a deal- teach a crap-ass night class, they'd juggle my eval scores from last month to get me my bonus- but I'll end up getting hit with one week of doubles, and that night class if four weeks long, meaning that I'll be working nights for a long time. There is a chance that if they fill more days, they'll switch me off the night class (I'll definitely be working them for two weeks, but there's a chance I can get out of the last two).

Not so great, but not so bad either. In other work related news, the direct boss that's been causing headaches is the Operations Manager. He's still here, but there's a job posting on Capitalareahelpwanted for an Operations Manager. So he's not long for this company.

That's enough work crap.

In Mac geek fun, I was particularly amused with this thread regarding the OSX tool Automator (the icon in question is this little guy. That definitely does look like it could be a bazooka</a>)

Now I'm going to go and download some Johnny Cash that I bought yesterday.
