Swinging Moderate?

I've had a hunch that the next term of Bush (which some papers have most disturbingly called "Bush II", like a royal title) is going to be more moderate. And some of the repubs are already moving that way, as they push for stem cell research. I predict that the moderate republicans are going to use this unprecedented unilateral control to be more moderate. Push towards the middle, and perhaps even the left.

Perhaps, perhaps, the silver lining is that this will restore the Republican party to what it once was- small government and libertarian. A guy can dream.
