Let me tell you, he certainly needs a shower afterwards.

Today, my friends, I am teaching Outlook, which is roughly akin to teaching a student how to navigate the hallways, or to use a vending machine. It is advanced button pushing, and retards me through the very act of teaching it. Then again, I can use some retardation after the past few weeks, so don't take this as complaining. And the fact that I'm wrapping it up with the last lesson now, and will be done by a quarter to four most likely, is an added bonus.

Fast forward to 4:55- I'm halfway home on the bus. Fucking shuttle took forever today. That aside, my class schedule has just been changed. Tomorrow, I'm doing an on-site at the Office of Mental Health- a few blocks from my own house, which means I can stumble over just before 8:30, when the class is slated to start. Sweetness on that count.

Friday I have Quickbooks Level 2, and that means some studying on Thursday, but not much, I mean, it's a one day applications class- who cares? It'll be cake.

Betraying my alternarockindie stereotype that I'm often assumed to be in, I have to be absolutely honest- every once in awhile, Eminem does something that I have to lean back and say, "Damn, that was pretty cool." His new song, "Mosh" is making the rounds on the web as the latest, and most unexpected political statement, and while the song isn't so great, I absolutely fucking love the video which is gratefully carried on GNN.

In other news, the idea behind the Wiki goes current, up to the minute, and everything that's fit to print- WikiNews. The logo they've got suggested is absolute crap, but the idea and the mission is pretty sweet.

The one overriding trend in the Internet and the *Information Revolution* (gag) is that content consumers are, increasingly, becoming content producers. The folks over at unmediated have been running stories about hypermedia- hypertext for video, audio, etc- which really turns _everything_ into a deriviative work.

Now, WikiNews is going to take some time to get up and running, and i'm not just talking about the technological resources- to do original, primary source reporting, you need people all over the world- or people that can get all over the world. Most news agencies have built up long lists of contacts to let them know where and when the news is- they don't have to hope to be in the right place at the right time. But making a user supported encyclopedia was just as much of an uphill battle, so I wll watch with interest to see how this develops.
