How Random Babbling Becomes Corporate Policy

After a conversation with ellie and manycolored last night, we've decided to kick off our own Star Trek sim; starshiplj is getting rather... slow, and the strict command structure is bogging the game down a bit.

So, we're going to do our own, run the way we prefer to do it, though I'm still going to hang out in starshiplj in the hopes that it will pick up. Besides, I like my new character there.

Out in ljsim, our own version, we're doing a recruiting drive. Join up, it should be fun. The intent is to make it a bit more TOS/TNG style, in the "Find a new planet this episode; interesting stuff happens," with the added factor of Romulans breathing down our collective Starfleet necks. Long range plots will develop as it progresses. We won't be doing a great deal of combat.

Also, and I haven't hashed these details out with Ellie yet, we're probably going to experiment with some gaming conventions to keep things moving and the crew involved- all of it with any luck.
