On Critiques

I tend to post a fair amount of writing here. In part, I do this for your gratification. I do it because I like writing, and I want to be in practice.

Now, I love the "This is so cool" comments as much as anyone. I'm arrogant enough to believe that my ideas are good, and my style is passable.

But I'm not so arrogant as to think that these stories are perfect. So the final reason I post these stories here is in the hopes that people will point out the flaws I don't see, and then perhaps, I can work on further improving them.

Of course, most everything I post here is probably ineligible for submission to any of the normal mags- which almost all demand first serial rights, which I happily toss away here. What I post here is really for practice. At some point, some real story is going to catch my brain, and I'm gonna hammer out a fantastic work- that I'll post friends only, and that I'll submit for publishing.

And damn, every once in awhile I like to run a google search on my username just to see where I pop up. Ye gods, I'm all over the place!
