Hmmm...

Jenna Jameson is now an Internet IP law activist. I've heard a few things about Acacia Research going after porn with streaming patents. Their purpose is obvious- who's going to defend _porn_? Who cares if smut dealers get screwed? But, winning against porn gives them a precedent to attack everyone that streams video. CNN, and the like, look out!

Tired of your life? Christian Aid will give you a new one. It's really just a way to let you know how bad things are in some third world countries. But it's a cute way of doing it.

Meanwhile, a Maryland library discovers that linux makes sense. Actually, linux makes more sense for a kiosk than it does a desktop OS. To use it on your desktop, you have to be willing to work at it. Installs are difficult to the novice, and hardware configuration can be a nightmare for the professional. To have a prebuilt kiosk however... you don't _want_ your users configuring. It makes lots of sense.
