The *Switch*

I've decided I'm sick of hotfixes. I'm sick of having to keep IE around if I want those hotfixes. I'm sick of using all sorts of extra software to make my desktop behave how I want it to.

I'm ditching Windows. I'm going to clean things up tonight, and probably install and get the whole shebang working tomorrow. So goes the theory. I'm switching to Mandrake; after glancing through at a few of distros, this is the one that's made me go "Hmmm.. this is the one I want."

So tonight, I'm going to make sure I have one clean drive to install on, with all of my documents and images backed up downstairs. Once I've got Mandrake up and running, then I reformat all the NTFS drives. I'm looking forward to the switch.
