This is down the block from my house, along East Strand Rd. which is a delightfully industrial strip. I made a few dupped layers, one I hypersaturated then blended with transparency. I took the result, dupped that layer, inverted it, blurred it, and overlayed it.

That left the stairs with an annoying color cast, so I took the original image, which has less saturation, and pieced it over the stairs themselves, giving them the grey look. I left some of the leaves grey, recolored others.
