Remember that contest? I got a $500 gift certificate to an online store. Not all it's cracked up to be, because the stuff isn't that great. That alone cuts the value in half, but then, they've got a facist shipping policy (each item you order gets billed seperately for shipping, you don't save with large orders), and you have to use it all at once. Which means I could make out fairly nice with an expense of say $70-$100 in just shipping, and lots of fair-mediocre merchandise. Hell, there are even a few actually nice things, like Sony CD Wallets, indoor grills. I was kinda amused by the $500 in coupons you can get by spending $60 of your gift certificate.
So, here's the deal. You want it? I can't use it because I don't have the money to pay out for shipping. But, if you've got a steady income, you could do quite nicely for yourself. $100 gets you $500 worth of stuff. It's a fairly good deal. If no one jumps on this in a few days, I'll see what I can get for it on e-bay.
[EDIT: The vacation packages are actually pretty cool. Effectively $20 for a 3-day vacation; you just can't go during peak vacation times.]
