How geek?

It hasn't been updated in a long time, but AnalogX has a bunch of cool apps. The other night, on whim, I installed the AnalogX FastCache, which turns your computer into a DNS Host and caches the domain names for longer periods, so you spend less time pulling data off of the DNS hosts. It doesn't really increase speed, I mean, in 1d 19h 39m 41s, it's scored a whole 48s worth of saved time. So it's not like a "I've got to install this now!". But it's interesting, the 534 requests that weren't cached have taken up 15m 6s of my time. It's kinda amazing, you never realize where some of those holdups on the network are.
