Speaking of power, my computer won't cease consuming it.

In fact, my computer has decided that it doesn't want to shut down, even when I've decided that it needs a reboot. That's right, shutdown, restart, and logoff, all of those old standbys of our start menu have left me with no other avail than to do a cold reboot.
