Vectors, by Michael Kube-McDowell

This novel, which I'm smack dab in the middle of puzzles me. I'm not sure if its good or not, but I do like it. I picked it up on whim in a bookstore because it struck me as interesting philosophical- a neuroscientist searching for the ghost in the machine- the consiousness, when all his collegues are mechanist and materialist in view.

Little did I know I was picking up a book that:
Hit shelves this month, and hence has alot of commentary on the modern world.
