WTF Spam?

The Gmail spam filter has been reliably good- until recently. Suddenly, I'm getting as many as two spams a day in my inbox. Considering this is an increase from NO spams a day, I'm pretty annoyed. Many of them, annoyingly, are the sort that don't contain any text in the messsage- just a collection of image attachments, specifically so a spam filter can't catch them.

Personally, I'd like a captcha feature for Gmail, wherin anyone who sends me an email gets an automated response, and must answer that email to prove that they're a human and not a spam bot.

Oh, and while we're at it, why don't we sterilize and imprison anyone that replies to spam. You do realize that they wouldn't send out spam if it DIDN'T WORK. I don't blame the spammers. I blame the idiots who click those links. The spammers are just taking advantage of your stupidity, which is a good, American thing to do. P.T. Barnum did it, and can anything P.T. Barnum did be evil? No. The people who keep them in business are the ones that get my goat.
