So, my electric violin has an auxiliary in. The stated purpose is to run a CD player or an iPod through the violin to play along to, which is mostly useless, since any effects that I put on the violin will also get applied to the music, and distorting the music doesn't really sound that great.

But I've come up with a great use for that aux in. I'm calling it the kill switch.

I'm going to build a patch cord with a switch in it that goes into the aux in. The other end connects back up to the output off my violin. When I flip the switch, instant ear shattering feedback. Probably not the greatest thing to do with the preamp in my violin, but used sparingly, it could be a pretty cool effect.

Freedom Tower, the memorial at the WTC site will be secured with biometric scans, face matching software that matches faces in the crowd to known terrorists, and well armed, highly paid guards.

I feel freer already.
