Mad, Mad House

We all know I hate reality television, and consider it a contradiction in terms. Normally, I'll consider it the basest form of entertainment.

I'm willing however, to watch one. My own name for the show is "Freaking the Mundies", but SciFi calls it "Mad, Mad House".

The premise was my main reason for downloading it. We're going to take a bunch of mundies- most of which are Christians. We're going to put them in a house where the Hosts get final say on everything- including who gets the $100,000 price.

The Hosts? A Wiccan Priestess, a Vodouen, a vampire, a modern primitive, and a naturist.

It's hilarious to watch the mundies squirm when they're invited to partake in Voodoo rituals, or told to spend the night in the room with one of the hosts. I'm going to keep downloading it, but it's also running on SciFi- brand new show and all.

Scanner spell

I recently tricked out a scanning spell, which I discussed over in technopaganism.

One of the subjects (victims?) who took it wanted to talk to me about the results. We were talking and I commented on stuff that I noticed. Amusingly enough, one of that subject's friends pointed out the same thing to the subject last night. Okay, not really amusing, because it's a kinda- well, possibly bad thing. Might not be bad- it's hard to tell.

At any rate, the geek in me is really pleased- because it shows that the scanner is working _really_ well. It also makes me feel much better about my occult aptitudes after my failures with using magick to land a job. I've always been better with the information-gathering magick than with the changing reality kind. It's easier for me to get my belief behind it- I'm an info junkie, what can I say?

My snarky quote of the day...

When discussing mythianworld's replies in this thread about technomagick (t3knomancy) in an IM with someone else from that community, I said this snarky QOTD:
Tonight, I'm just getting my kicks flaming mythianworld back to the corner of Candyland where she came from.

I have no problem giving people a verbal tongue lashing when they earn it, and this silly little bint has more than earned it. She's raised my ire more than demorosos ever did, and that buggerer was a hoot to pick on.

I love these little opportunities to be a Bad Person(tm)- they make life worth living.
