US-CERT has issued a warning that Internet Explorer is a security hazard. Don't use it people. When even CERT agrees with me, you might want to take the hint and get off of IE and onto a safe browser. I continue to recommend Firefox- it's the most IE like and doesn't share all the problems. It's also faster.

Which reminds me- I need to upgrade versions.
  • I've heard lots of reports of problems wiht Firefox 0.9. From poor stability to extensions spontaneously breaking... I'd be careful of that one.

I personally recommend mainline Mozilla, on account of the fact that it is not still in beta. I'll give Firefox a look when it gets to 1.0 beta2 or somewhere around there. I avoid beta whereever there is a full release version that meets my needs. I've got an XP2200,1 gb of ram, two 80gb hard drives, I can easily handle the extra bloat of Mozilla as a price for running full release software...
  • not for MacOS9
