  • Dude... twitter sucks. Particularly since half the time you wind up with cut off sen..
    • I'm not really on Twitter anymore. I'm over at Identi.ca, and have been using an RSS feet do republish there. But there's a better bridge now- the getting-cut-off problem is resolved as of tomorrow.

The reason for the cutting off, not that it matters, is that the RSS feed method always prepends "t3knomanser:" onto my messages, which often overflows the 140 character limit. With the bridge, there should be no prepending.

Twitter does suck, but Identi.ca is awesome.
      • Honestly while I think the concept is reasonable, the way it's used is terrible.
        • Well, now you've got me curious. What do you think is terrible about the way it's used? What would be better ways to use it?

I'm working on an Identi.ca client (it landed in my lap, I didn't mean to!) and I'm curious about what the non-denter thinks. It'll inform some of my thoughts on the project and how worthwhile it is.
